About School Seal

The school seal embodies the school vision and mission to which the Lyceum of Aparri has vowed to anchor itself:
At the center is the Dominican Cross, symbolizing the Order of Preachers(OP), whose mission brought the Catholic faith to become an educring part of Cagayano heritage. It also embodies the school's steadfast commitment and genuine dedication to passing on the Catholic tradition to the present generation through education.
The Net symbolizes the everyday livelihood of the Aparrianos, fishing. It also recalls the mission of Jesus' apostles, particularly Peter, to whom, in the Gospel of John, Christ commanded, "Laxate Retia" ("Cast off the nets") after a night of fruitless toil. the Net represents the school's unwavering effort to form its students according to the ideals of the Catholic Church, a tast entrusted to those who themselves are marked by docility to the will of Christ. This is refelected in the design, where the Net does not stand alone but is closely bound to the Cross, signifying that all endeavors draw their meaning and strength from Him.
The Fish represents the primary recipients of the school's mission, the students, as well as the teachers who share in the noble task of educating them.
The Feather and the Ink symbolize the guiding goal of the school in fulfilling its vision for the students - a goal rooted in the Catholic belief that education must form not only the mind but the whole person. Hence, there is a strong emphasis on the humanities, which reveal the truth about humanity expressed in and though them.
The Book, a simplified representation of Moses' tablets, emphasizes the complementary and enriching role of faith in the greatest achievements of the humanities.
The two Olive Branches symbolize the Christian virtues that the institution seeks to instill and nurture in its students through the educational process.
The letters MCMLXVII (1967) represent the founding year of the school in Roman numerals.
